2947 fare dodgers fined in public transport in August

Statistics of „Rīgas satiksmes” about ticket inspections carried out in Riga public transport in August 2018:

Number of fare dodgers fined in public transport:

Total:	2947
including:
Fine receipts:	799
Fine invoices	2148

This is by 176 fare dodgers more than July 2018, when 2771 passengers were fined for fare dodging in public transport.

Number of inspections in public transport:
Trams	2613
Trolleybuses	8680
Buses	13383
Total:	24676

Just to compare: 21511 ticket inspections were carried out in July, which is 3165 less than in August 2018.

In August 2018, the maximum number of fare dodgers was fined on bus route No. 3 (311), whereas nobody was fined for fare dodging on bus routes No. 28, 34, 35, 57 and 59.
